3rd year (2001)

3rd year of competition (2001)
3rd year of international competition in fitness of women and men GRAND PRIX FITNESS NUTREND took place on May 6th 2001 in Olomouc.
Whole competition took place within perfect organizational background and spectators had really enough to look forward. Semi-final of competition has sorted the competitors out during morning hours; afternoon attendant program in front of Sidia Club, where the whole event took place attracted mostly teenagers. Masters of in-line were rolling there, showing up acrobatic jumps over parked cars, cycle trial World Champion Josef Dressler was then excellently balancing over heads of laying volunteers. Guys from Flatland showed spectators new sports field – circus-riding on special bike and kick-box exhibition enchanted young man hanging around so much that the club will for sure register new members.

On the stroke of five the state anthem rang out and sports tournament itself started. As usual on Grand Prix Fitness Nutrend, next to professional jury also a non-professional one took place, which was shining with all known names - Josef Dressler (cyclo trial World Champion), Petr Weinich (leading world bodybuilder), Tomas Srsen (ice hockey player), Roman Macka (NUNCHAKU World Vice-champion), Eva Sukupova (former bodybuilding World Champion, currently state trainer), Petr Havlicek (nutrition specialist of leading Czech sportsmen), Klaudia Kinska (professional competitor in fitness), R. Nekola (director of Antidoping Committee of Czech republic), Roman Micek (kick box World Champion), Roman Macka (kick box Champion of Czech Republic).
This year surprised with strong cast of men category but also with great competitors from abroad.

Category of woman was shining with Czech competitors’ known names as Martina Chudobova or Barbora Benesova. Favourite of competition was Slovakian Marietta Zigalova, fresh holder of title of European Champion. In category of men traditionally to the elite belonged World Champion Radek Hadrovsky.
In spectatorial most attractive discipline, free performance, the competitors were racing in original conceptions. Monika Kaminska attracted as living flower and showed vivid composition in leotard of clever princess, Marietta Zigalova cheered the audience up by central melody of Titanic, but neither men stayed behind. It was full of patients, robots and drunkards, who were but after first tones of music waking up to life and showing saltos one by one. Definitely it’s not possible to not to mention performance of Radek Hadrovsky as a aboriginal in chains.
Audience in Olomouc was great, holding all the competitors till the end but was also not hiding sympathies towards the world fitness top Tadek Hadrovsky and Marietta Zigalova, who were also elected the most congenial competitors.
Grand prix fitness Nutrend is not just about competing. It is beautiful spectacle and enjoyable show.
For this reason competition was interlarded with interesting exhibitions. Champions in Nunchac and kick-box have performed, Iron Zekon, bodybuilder Petr Weinich and professional fitness competitor Klaudia Kinska.
None of the juries had an easy job this year and in the moments of evaluation the suspension in hall could even be measured. Non-professional jury has elected as best Radek Hadrovsky and Marietta Zigalova.
From the decision of jury the most happy were:
Kamila Porzyk as Winner of category of women above 164 cm
Radek Hadrovsky Winner of category of men
Marietta Zigalova, first in category of women up to 164 cm
In both women categories the medal positions were taken by competitors from Poland.
As the jury has claimed, the most difficult thing was to choose absolute winner. Marietta Zigalova at the end beated Kamila Porczyk by ration of votes 5:4.
3rd year of Grand prix fitness Nutrend competition definitely proved professional awareness and good sponsor background and competitors themselves evaluated it as a best competition of this type in Czech Republic.
There is nothing more to do than to look forward for next year.
