5 Tips to Stay Fit in Autumn
The change of seasons, dropping temperatures, and shorter days – all of this affects us, draining our energy and impacting our immunity. How can you stay in shape during this time?
1) Get Some Fresh Air
Even if you sometimes don’t feel like going outside, push yourself to take a walk or go for a run. It will oxygenate your whole body, clear your mind, boost your immunity, and recharge your batteries.
2) Think About What You Eat
To feel good, your diet also matters. It should be different than in summer. Forget about salads and raw vegetables. Your body now needs to warm up from the inside. Vegetables are good, but for example, roasted ones or delicious vegetable soups with spices or broths are excellent. Fermented foods like sauerkraut or the superfood kimchi are also great for supporting immunity.
3) Drink Herbal Teas
Just like warming your body with food, drinking is also important. Herbal teas are suitable – for example, rose hips, elderflower, linden flowers, astragalus, or echinacea. From exotic herbs, holy basil (tulsi) is excellent. Ginger is outstanding for warming from the inside and fighting off illnesses.
4) Rest
Your body also needs to recharge and prepare for the upcoming winter. Treat yourself to a day when you do nothing. Just relax, read, or watch movies.
5) Supplement with Vitamins
Eat seasonal fruits and vegetables – apples, pears, root vegetables, but also garlic, which is a great natural antibiotic. It’s also advisable to supplement with vitamins, such as with the multivitamin supplement Multivitamin Compressed Caps or Vitamin C with Rose Hips.
